I 've been looking online for a stroller for my 3 month old son and i think i like the kolcraft 4 wheeler or 3 wheeler. i heard the lite wasn 't that good, anyone know for sure? what 's the difference between the 4 and 3 wheeler? can the seat on the 4 wheeler be reversed with the child still in it, like if i wanted to do it on a walk is that an option? does it fold up easily? if you don 't like either of these, what would you recommend (keep the price below $200 please). thanks! How Do I Remove The Bassinet Hood From The Metal Frame? I Just Bought A Used Kolcraft Bassinet.?
The bassinet is in excellent shape and looks like it 's barely used. i bought it for a friend, and i 'd like to wash all the fabric parts before giving it to her. i had no problems snapping off the skirt and bottom storage part. the instructions say to hand wash, and it 's soaking in the bathtub now with baby all detergent. the hood or canopy part is stretched over a curved wire, like the underwire in a bra, and it 's mounted on a heavier metal frame that attaches to the sides of the bassinet. i can 't get the hood off the frame. can anyone help me? does it come off some way, or do i just hand wash the whole thing, metal frame and all? i sure don 't want to deal with rust. i am so inadept at this, all thumbs, and it 's been years since i 've fooled with baby equipment. the bassinet brand is kolecraft or kolcraft, and the fabric has a print of tiny, tiny white stars on a white background. the hood has a yellow fabric moon hanging down, and a blue star. can anyone help a dumb old gran?i just emailed the kolcraft company, and they said the canopy (hood) cannot be removed from the frame. the frame, of course, attaches to the sides of the bassinet. they said i could buy a replacement for $20.00. but i think i 'll just try to freshen it up with a soft brush or a damp washcloth. seems like the canopy could be removed from the frame and laundered just like the other fabric parts.hint: check for such details before buying a bassinet! How To Install Casters On Kolcraft Tender Vibes Bassinet?
I just bought the kolcraft tender vibes bassinet. i have put it together completely except the casters. the instructions say to pop them on the metal tubing at the bottom of the bassinet. when trying to do that only about 1.5 inches of the 2 inch metal piece that is part of the caster that goes into the tubing goes in. the last half inch won 't go in, i have pushed as hard as i can and it won 't go in at all. when i took the caster out looking into the metal tubing that has a plastic fitting it has about a 1/ 16 inch stop guard with a hole in it. the metal piece barely fits into the initial hole, but when it gets to the guard i can 't go any further. if i install the casters this way then the casters easily come off. looking at images online there should be no metal exposed between the legs of the bassinet and the casters. when i saw this at meijer they had a floor model that also didn 't have the casters, which leads me to believe they couldn 't install them either. i am a reasonably strong guy, i don 't want to force it and break the plastic casters. am i doing something wrong, please help?
